PayLid is a quick, easy-to-use, secure and cost-effective way of
sending money and paying for products and services in emerging markets. It is an
online, global market place where you can buy products, pay for
services and pay bills from across the globe. Our goal at PayLid is
to facilitate commerce to and from emerging markets by creating a
flexible and robust platform for remittance, bills payments, buying and selling
products and services.
2. How does PayLid service work?

Using PayLid is easy: we have two (2) distinct ways to use PayLid.
3. Why do I need to charge my Account?
[ Top ]
Charging you account beforehand allows you to complete transactions
quickly using the balance on your account without the need to enter
payment details every time. This is especially important if you will
be making many small transactions often.
4. How soon will transaction be
completed? [ Top ]
Transactions can be completed in as little as 30secs for virtual
products such as airtime. Money transfer transactions take up to 6 hours. Transactions that involve physical products that have to
be delivered may take up to 1 week. In addition PayLid may put
suspicious orders on hold until we carry out further verification
which may create a slight delay.
5. How will my purchased item(s) be
delivered? [ Top ]
For physical products, PayLid will give you a unique voucher number,
contact details for collection location and earliest pick up time.
Recipient will take voucher number to collection location to collect
purchased item. If you have paid for delivery to recipient, we will
provide tracking number for delivery.
6. How do you handle bill payment and
virtual products such as airtime? [ Top ]
For
virtual products we will send product both to you and the recipient
via email and sms. For bill payment we send notification to you,
recipient and merchant once payment has been made.
7. How can I ensure prompt delivery?

Please ensure that recipient information is correct as inaccurate
and otherwise incomplete recipient information may significantly
delay your transaction. Wrong recipient information may cause
products to be delivered to wrong account especially for
auto-delivery items; PayLid will not be liable for inadvertent entry
of wrong recipient information.
8. What are the fees for this service?

A nominal fee is charged for providing PayLid's services and fees vary depending on the product purchased; Fees charged for Money transfer are seen only after signing up or logging in and are very competitive.

10. What exchanged rate is used? [ Top ]
The actual exchange rate will be determined at the time of the transaction according to the rate guidance provided by the central bank of the destination country.
11. What forms of payment do you
accept? [ Top ]
We accept Debit & Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) and will soon accept ACH as well. We may accept other forms of payment in the future;
accepted methods of payment will be updated on the PayLid web site.
12. What restrictions are applicable in using PayLid's money transfer and ecommerce transactions? [ Top ]
PayLid.com prohibits the use of its money transfer and other services to directly or indirectly fund illegal activities including but not limited to money laundering, support of terrorist activities, fraudulent sales, solicitations, or theft. In compliance with the law, we are required to gather additional information in certain transactions that meet the criteria of corresponding regulations. PayLid.com does not permit the Service to be used for the improper, unlawful, or fraudulent transfers of funds ("Unauthorized Transactions"). PayLid actively prevents individuals as identified from time to time by the U.S. Department of Treasury on its published list of Specially Designated Nationals (“SDN”) from using her services. In addition, we will not permit the use of the platform by individuals or organizations to violate local, state, or federal laws of the United States, laws of the Destination Country, Territory, international laws, or the laws of any other relevant jurisdiction. Any incidents of Unauthorized Transactions are subject to prosecution to the full extent of the law. International Beneficiaries of funds acquired through Unauthorized Transactions may also be subject to civil penalties and/or criminal prosecution in their country of residence including, but not limited to, the repossession of the total funds delivered and received as a result of an Unauthorized Transaction.
13. Will my personal information be

Definitely! The site uses 128-bit SSL encryption to protect all
personal identification information that you submit, including your
Name, Address, Phone number, E-mail address, Login ID and Password,
Credit Card and Bank Account are never stored. We have partnered
with Verisign, the worlds largest processor of secure transactions.
Through this partnership, your credit card information is in safe
hands. All auto-recharges are conducted via secure tokens and
reference transactions. We do not store your credit card details.
14. How do I know the status of my
transaction/order? [ Top ]
Online tracking is available for you to follow the progress of your
transaction whether its bill payment, payment for services or
products purchase. This gives you the confidence that 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week you can know exactly where your money is. All of
your transaction history, including bill payment, purchase and
account funding history, is accessible to you from inside the PayLid
portal.
15. Is PayLid compliant? [ Top ]
PayLid.com's transactions are processed in adherence with United States regulatory compliance requirements (U.S. Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, NACHA, CHAPS and BACS processing policies), as well as the laws of the destination countries.
